Black Book Man is the third song of the month. The entire song will be available throughout December. A nasty Chicago sounding tenor saxophone opens the song, which is a fitting introduction to the man who recently sold his soul to the Queen of Darkness. About halfway into the song, funky saxophone kicks in and transitions into a real down and dirty crescendo. After a brief return to “normalcy,” the song suddenly changes mood from rock to funky jazz. After a bout of funkiness, against convention, the song modulates against the grain — downward, to create tension. Hopefully, it got your attention.
